The 2009 Open Gardens Programme is underway. Donna Andrew and Lynn Daniel are the organizers for this year's programme. Thanks, Donna and Lynn!! Thanks also to everyone who has so graciously opened their garden to share with all VHS members.
This year Open Gardens will be on only TWO weekends each month. They have been clustered geographically to lessen driving. (Do think of carpooling with others for even fewer cars on the road!) There will be NO SIGNS this year so remember to take the list of addresses published in the newsletter with you.
Trade ideas and inspiration, and see gardens the general public won't be able to see. Open Gardens is a members-only function. Please remember to bring your membership card. It may be requested at the entrance. Guests are welcome if accompanied by a member.
Gardens open promptly at 1pm and close at 4 pm.
We hope you enjoy viewing the gardens that your fellow members have been so generous to share!
If you know of any gardens that we may enjoy, please let us know. Non-members will receive a free year’s membership, if they wish to share their garden. You can talk to Donna and Lynn at the Open Garden table during the monthly meetings OR contact either of them by phone or e-mail. Their contact information is on the last page of every newsletter.
